I have WordService 2.8.3. I love it! One issue is that I’ve never been able to make it work in Microsoft Powerpoint. For example, in the “notes” section of Powerpoint, I just invoked the keyboard shortcut I set up to convert text to ALL CAPS, and I get the following error:
Am I doing something wrong, or is WordService not compatible with Powerpoint/Office?
Services are dependent on what the current application is reporting.
What operating system are you running?
OS 12. But I’ve never been able to get WordService to work with Powerpoint in the notes section since OS X. It does work with MS Word.
The Office applications aren’t built by one group of people, so something is likely different in PowerPoint’s code.
I don’t know if it’s anything we can resolve but I have confirmed the behavior here.
