I am a bit puzzled by the part in XMenu’s Preferences where there’s a list of categories in Preferences > Menu. I know I can click on the various categories to get them to appear in the menu bar. However, next to each category such as “Applications” there’s a box where it appears I can enter text. There’s already text there but it it is a single word (or abbreviation) and doesn’t seem to be a path name, or in some cases not even a directory name. In addition it appears I can enter text in this box. I take this to mean I can configure it, but I can’t see how, though I might like to in some cases. I have, for example, re-routed all my documents to a folder on an external drive, so I would like to have Documents go to that instead of the one on my internal drive which currently has nothing in it. Actually, right now XMenu’s Documents is disabled because I don’t make use of it, but I would like to use it if that was possible. I also don’t use Developer (“Dev”) and even if it had the wrong name in the menu bar, I would like to use it to go to Music or Movies (also on my external drive) or something I do use a lot. If I can do this, how do I tell it where to go? If I can’t, what’s the point in having this being a box I can appear to be able to edit?
Yes, I know I can add folders to the user defined folder, but since there’s all the ones that can be in the menu bar itself it would be nice to know how to configure them.
