I saw a few old posts requesting this, but apparently there was no solution.
I like using Xmenu but feel constrained because lack of a keyboard shortcut. Did anyone figure a workaround?
Sorry but no there is no such option at time.
Bartender (Surtees Studios, $16 after 4 week trial), which I’ve used for years, allows hotkeys for menubar items. It might be too costly for dealing with a single menubar item, but I couldn’t find a free solution. Control-F2 (or Fn-Control-F2) is unreliable for me and works only on the left side of the menubar. I thought Applescript had a solution, but my old script is missing or my memory is incorrect because what I can find now only moves the focus to the left side.
