Not sure why I would be getting this alert. Could it be because xmenu was trying to self-update? Bitdefender shows no flags for the app, and just looking through the package contents, all seems kind of ok, although 1.7MB for the core MacOS executable seems a tad on the large size just to display a dropdown menu.

There’s nothing wrong with it and that’s quite small as far as apps go. The message is from macOS’ “security” but logically our app isn’t doing anything dangerous. What menu were you specifically using when you got the prompt?
Hey @BLUEFROG No app/menu was in use, this was a popup during startup.
Only the App Store version is automatically updated but by the App Store.app.
