Youtube Content for Devonthink 4

Hello,

I’ve noticed that there’s very little practical content or real-world tutorials for DEVONthink 4 , especially on YouTube .

Most available videos focus only on basic features, but many users (including myself) would like to see:

  • How to set up and manage a real document database
  • Best practices for large-scale document management
  • Advanced workflows, research methods, or AI integrations

For new users, YouTube is often the first place to look before buying software. Right now, it’s hard to find in-depth guidance for DEVONthink 4.

Are there any plans for the DEVONtechnologies team or experienced users to create official tutorials or workflow videos?

I believe this would be a huge help to the community.

There are some slideshow tutorials in the Help menu. Have you looked there?

Also, videos are not simple (nor necessarily cheap) to produce and updates to them aren’t so easily done. We may look at it again but the help and manual, tutorials, these forums, and our support ticket system are the resources available now.

Lots of PAID contact out there, MacSparky field guides and Take Control books come to mind

It’s kind of a waste to produce videos if there already are a lot of good ones out.

Try this:

It is well worth $49 for over 8 hours and 100 videos of serious education. No ads and I have “known” David for at least 10 years. Very serious and pedagogical. Also have videos for very many other apps I use. This is for version 3 but if you go through this you have a very good start to use 4.

If I had this when I started with DT2, it would have saved me a lot of time. I can also only recommend this course if you are a “video type of learning person”.
