Bulk upload-download from DT3 to DTTG

My primary use of DEVONthink is on my iPad using DTTG, which I use at my office which has a PC environment and so cannot use DT3. However, my main repository for my DEVONthink databases/documents is on my personal Mac kept at my home using DT3. My current way of syncing between these devices is using Bonjour, which I can only do when I bring my iPad home - i.e. I can’t use Bonjour on DTTG to download data from my Mac when I am not at home. (I spent many years trying to address this issue by also using Dropbox and iCloud (CloudKit) but I found these highly unreliable.) The main issue with this setup is that I have a lot of documents referenced in DTTG on my iPad but which I can only access when I take them home and do a Bonjour sync to be able to download them from DT3 to DTTG, which is very frustrating.

I am planning to shortly purchase a new iPad with sufficient memory so that it can, alongside my Mac, hold copies of all my DEVONthink documents. Is there a simple way to replicate my DT3 databases in DTTG on my new iPad? Currently, using Bonjour, I can individually download onto DTTG each document I would like on the iPad but it would be great if I could a bulk upload-download - is this possible? My objective is to have identical databases and documents on each device (i.e. downloaded on each of them) and then to subsequently use Bonjour to keep them in sync.

I’m happy to be pointed to a thread or resource which details how the above (or something like it) can be achieved.

Many thanks in advance.

This is the job of Bonjour sync

Cloud sync works for me
What problems were you having?

The forum is rife with people’s agony over the inconsistencies of iCloud syncing. It works well for some but for others is nothing but woe.
I use Dropbox sync and it works very well. I sync full databases to my phone and iPad as they both have plenty of storage. But not everyone has that success.
I am pretty sure that the answer you’re going to get is to connect your new iPad over Bonjour, set it to sync all databases and leave it to do its business.
I don’t know of any bulk upload other than this.
There “might” be a speed advantage to be gained by connecting your new iPad to your computer as outlined in this thread and link to a guide. But @BLUEFROG outlines there a catch that leads you back to Bonjour as the more likely way.

In DTTG, long-press on a database in the left sidebar. In the Info pane, change Download files to Always. All documents in this database will then be downloaded to your mobile device from the Mac.
