Dropbox and Onedrive locations being automatically changed....effect on indexed DT databases

For anyone seeing this thread because of the title, after updating to the new Dropbox, I ran into some issues which I did not at first realise were due to the new Dropbox, so started a new thread here.

I would have carried on here if I had realised the issues were Dropbox related.

This issue is going to arise for everyone indexing Dropbox folders over the next few months…which I think will be quite a large number of users.

The trap is that because the indexed files still exist in the old location, people will not realise anything has happened until they discover syncing has not been happening.

This just bit me–I was only indexing two OneDrive folders to import scanned documents to DEVONthink…and realized today it was full of PDFs that DT wasn’t seeing.

Updating the path fixed the issue…
