There may be a simple solution to my problem - None of the extra Scripts, Smart Rules or Templates are installing in my newly purchased 4 Beta. A search of topics doesn’t indicate my problem is a problem for others. I would be grateful if someone could point me to a solution. I have DTP 3 Pro installed as well. Thanks.
You can go, in DT 4, to DEVONthink → Install Add-Ons…
As to having DT 3 also "installed” do make sure you read the warning here if you have not already done so.

I wrote Jim and asked the same thing: here is his reply to me regarding the Chrome “Clip to Devonthink” addon no longer working in Beta 1.
Me: I have not had the opportunity to read through the entire new User Manual for the beta version; this question has to do with it however.
Both the Chrome Bookmarklets and the Chrome based ‘Clip to DT” addons are still pointing to DT3. Since I have not removed DT3 that is fine, but am I missing something or are these not going to be operational until the public release of Version 4?
Should add I did pay the upgrade and install the beta version.
Jim’s Reply: Dear Jenna,
Thanks for the question!
I would recommend reinstalling the browser extensions.

Hope this helps you.
Hi,
I have no problems with the clippers but the extra scripts don’t install for me when I click them in DEVONthink → Install Add-Ons.
Best regards,
Björn
Have you given DEVONthink Full Disk Access in System Settings > Privacy & Security ?
Thanks Stephen. I had previously installed the extras as you had pointed out but I am referring to the additional scripts, etc from the drop-down Menu. Each one of the many has an individual ‘install’ and once installed, this reverts to ‘uninstall’. At the foot of the page, there is a selection box to have them all install automatically. This doesn’t work for me either, when selected.
I did attempt to install DTP4 in a separate user account but not successfully as an Administrator - I will try again. It is something I haven’t done before. Is Bullfrog saying to move the DEVONthink app into the Applications folder of the secondary user account? Or is there a process for doing a complete install in that account? I am surprised I don’t know this process.
Yes, BLUEFROG is saying to put DEVONthink 4 in the Applications folder in the new/secondary macOS user account. Drag and drop the app to that folder and launch it. That’s all the installation that’s required for testing DEVONthink 4 in this manner.
Regarding installing the Extras, it appears there may be a disconnect from our server. Development will have to look into it.
Thanks Bullfrog! Will do. I have given full access to Devonthink but still no change to the install of the extra scripts. Appreciate the help.
Dear microcloth - please note it’s Bluefrog, not Bullfrog
Now it has. Thanks!
Installing the Extra Scripts found in the sidebar under Support does not work though. I think that the scripts are put in ‘/Library/Application Scripts/com.devon-technologies.think3’ and not in ‘/Library/Application Scripts/com.devon-technologies.think’
I have uninstalled DT 3 but maybe it is not “completely forgotten”. Can I simply move the scripts to their correct place?
Best regards,
Björn
The installation of the extras seems to be broken unfortunately, we’re investigating this.
Ok, thanks! I will wait for the results of the investigations.
The installation should now work again.
It does! Excellent
Sincere apologies .. thanks mate and thank you Bluefrog! You do a great job… while I have mindsnaps:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
No worries! You’re not the first to misread my handle.
