I’ve used DT4 since it came out with no issues. This morning I fired up the computer and opened DT4 as normal and it asked to re-enter my license. I didn’t think much about it as this happens with some software from time to time, plus this is still a Beta, so I re-entered my info only to have the following screen pop-up. Any idea what may have happened?
I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary, haven’t wiped the drive and re-installed the OS, used it yesterday and shut it down normally before shutting down the MBP, which was also normal.
I’'m running this on a 2019 MBP, Intel Mac, running Sonoma 14.7.4 because Sequoia doesn’t play nice with some of my other software. DT4, and DT3 before it, has run perfectly fine in Sonoma before this morning. I’m using only 1 seat of the 2 seats allocated.
I went to my account page to re-verify the license code and noticed that it says “Activate” in the top right corner. I’ve obviously been using it normally up until now, so do I need to click that? If so, any ideas what may have happened?
I had something similar. The beta already had accepted my license code and was working. Irregularly it shows an empty registration popup. When I click that away, DT4beta1 quits.
When I start it again, all seems okay. The “About” screen shows that I registered (although it already mentions an “end of updates date” which is not known yet).
I had the similar experience already two times. I bought on the update April 3 and it was working from the beginning with my DT3 license key. Yesterday evening an empty registration popup appeared after opening DT4. After entering my license info a message appeared, similar to the above screenshot (only in German), telling me my license is only valid for version 3. After quitting and reopening DT4 everything looked ok and DT4 showed my DT3 License number.
The same happened today some hours ago, when starting DT4, Closing und restarting cured ist like @mboerma and @saltlane
Just for fun, I closed DT4 again a moment ago, and the empty registration form appeared. After closing and reopening DT4 is working fine.
This also happens to me for the last few days. It seems to happen when I open DT4 after startup of my laptop. If I cancel entering my license information DT4 quits and when I open DT4 again everything is fine.
