DTTG 4 - PDF annotation - adding notes

I’m still learning how to use DT and DTTG annotation, so perhaps this is just a neophyte issue, but I’m having trouble with the “add note” function in the annotation/edit in DTTG on a PDF document. I can select the note icon in the toolbar and I can place it where I want, but I don’t seem to be able to add any text to it, nor access a field at all. I can’t even figure out how to move or delete the icon even once added. Long press brings up a copy, save, annotation link pop up, but no place to type text. I can’t find it in the annotation inspector either.

With DT on the mac, I can place, add notes, see them, move them and navigate over them in the inspector. So I think I understand how they are supposed to behave on the iPad. I do see that if I create a note on the mac, once synced with DTTG I can get a pop up on the iPad with the text created on the mac. I can’t get anything like that pop up note in working with DTTG alone.

I don’t see any guidance in the DTTG 4 manual on such notes, but perhaps I’m overlooking them.

Any advice?

Thanks
