Is there any chance when DT4 Document is made full screen this could happen on to a separate virtual desktop?
Also I don’t think the keyboard shortcut for this is working right now.
This was reported in 2015 Full screen view

This can be enabled via Settings > General > Interface > Document windows prefer fullscreen. If the current main window is in fullscreen, then document windows are opened in their own space.
I have that setting checked.
If I have DT full screen and I try and select Full Screen → Document from the View menu Document is greyed out.
I open DEVONthink on multiple virtual desktops. What I am trying to get to is an uncluttered view of my document. Uncluttered meaning nothing but the document I am working in/on.
I also noticed, that for me, DEVONthink can’t be in a split view. Sometimes I have my MD editor open on one side and my Things (or Calendar or email) window on the other side.
Split view isn’t a DEVONthink technology. It’s controlled by the operating system. And we have reports of DEVONthink windows not working in Split Screen.
I am not sure what the purpose of the screen shot is? Are you saying it works on Sonoma? But not Sequoia? And that is Apple’s fault and nothing to do with DT4?
Are you accepting that it is a bug?
I’m not sure where you getting your ideas but I said nothing about what OS it does or doesn’t work on. The UI is different on Sequoia but you can put a DEVONthink window in split screen all the way back to Ventura.
We have no other reports and have not seen any issue here.
Not sure how you are handling issues in the Beta.. whether you want Support Tickets or just forum reports..
p.s. I think there is a typo in your original response to me. Where you say “And we have reports of DEVONthink windows not working in Split Screen.”
On the first issue, I am not seeing this behavior on any OS and again, we don’t control what is shown in that popup. Does the issue persist after rebooting the Mac?
- Full Screen ‘Document’ (that is View->Full Screen->Document is greyed out.) does not work on DT4 on Sequoia 15.4 when DT4 is already full screen.
I am confused here. Why would you get trying to go full screen when you’re already in full screen?
Such issues can be reported in either place but critical problems like crashes or stalls should be reported to our support ticket system.
This option is only available if the current window isn’t already using View > Full Screen > Window. But I just noticed that Sequoia renamed this to Enter/Exit Full Screen, the next beta will fix this.
The path to replicate this is as follows.
Thanks.
I managed to get most of what I needed by using the “Open Current Selection” button, that pops the note out into a separate window which I can then put in to a split-screen.
For me being able to do that more than once would be useful, but I am an edge case. Things3 is the only app that does/allows multiple windows and multiple views for working in multiple contexts simultaneously. It is a very powerful feature.
