When I set icloud as a sync folder, I found that every time I modify it, icloud will back up all of it. When my database size is relatively small, this is of course no problem, but my database is about 3G, which consumes a lot of traffic each time.
I use the Local sync store under the sync tag and put the Local sync store in icloud
Why don’t you use iCloud directly as sync store instead of going through a local sync store first?

Please remember that syncing is not an appropriate backup. Backups are fully explained in DEVONthink’s manual.
