This worked yesterday for me “without” any trouble. Now I get this message:

Fortunately I can still use DT4 and ignore that message.

It worked once for me :slight_smile: Have not tried a second time. I will not turn off my device and keep DT4 open until the new beta is released.

Quit DEVONthink, delete ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink/Registration.plist and try it again.

Deleting the registration file and clicking “Activate” on my license page did the trick for me (macOS 15.5 beta 4)

Ughh . . . I do not seem to have a “Registration.plist” to delete. I guess I will have to wait for the update.

DT4 will not start anymore. However, I have an open numbers file ( location is in the DT database). Will changes in this file furthermore saved in the database?

Yes (as long as it’s not an encrypted database)

Hi Christian, will this work also for my issue - I get a warning saying I’ve exceeded the number of files to convert to pdf.

A conversion or OCR? The number of pages that can be OCRed each day is limited in the trial.

It is as long as the license wasn’t entered via DEVONthink > Enter License… (or clicking the Activate button in your user account etc.)

Ah - I will check. I had to reinstall DT4 because of the issues discussed above… it did work again, but then the pdf conversion.

Same problem started for me today, “The entered license code is not valid for this application but it is for DEVONthink Pro 3.x.” … haven’t found a solution, but I have my receipt for DT4 Purchase!

Thanks. Tried that - it didn’t change anything.

I’m hoping that the new beta, when it’s available for download will sort this. In the meantime I’ll use other tools.

Jim, if I want to run DT3 again until the new DT4 update is ready, as long as I’m not doing any AI, etc - will my databases be OK when I switch back to DT4?
