Is there a way to import ical events into a document?

I would like to have DT3 read my calendar entries for today, and add the meeting title, and attendees list to a daily journal document. This would make it very convenient for note taking, and would also make it easy for my to build the hyperlinked document, i.e. linking my notes to a particular project, and also to particular people.

I have built something like this in google docs, but I would prefer to keep my notes in DT. I don’t see an ‘Import Calendar’ option in the menu, but perhaps there is an add-on?
