And while I was writing and editing the post above the extension has now disappeared from the toolbar! So on reboot and starting Safari the extension is enabled and after some time it disappeared
Is there some new security feature that is blocking extensions?
All of this sounds like an intermittent bug of Tahoe (and itâs not the only one). E.g. revised security should at least reliably block it, otherwise it wouldnât be very secure or trustworthy

I read somewhere that the.1 betas are now available. I wonder if this behavior is still there.
On one of my Macs the Quick Look & Sharing extensions were still available & enabled after the necessary reboot, the Safari extension not.

This Mac was running the beta of Tahoe?

Itâs always using the latest developer betas.

Ok, letâs hope that we can figure out whatâs going on soon. I will reboot less often until then
I would suggest to set up a shortcut in Settings > Sorter, thatâs not just a workaround but always the quickest method for clipping.

Thatâs a good suggestion. My real issue is that sharing from Reeder to DT rely on the Safari extension.
By the way, my issues with the Safari extension would go away if I could use DT as a RSS-reader. Any plans for RSS in DT To Go?

Itâs planned for a future release, meaning not 4.0.

Thatâs great news! I use DT as my primary RSS reader.

A follow up on this. I set up shortcuts for sharing links from Reeder (Classical version) to DT via shortcuts and that works almost as good as using the sharing extension that had gone missing. However now I notice that the sharing extension is active again!
I had previously noticed that whenever the Safari extension was missing the Reeder extension also was. However, now the Reeder extension is active but the Safari is not. This is all very confusing. I will let this rest for now and wait for updates of Tahoe.
PS: NetNewsWire is scriptable with AppleScript. I have no experience with either version of Reeder, so I donât know how the options compare â just thought I would mention it. You donât even have to redownload articles, as you can access the HTML content directly through the scripting interface.

In my experience, since installing Tahoe, the DEVONthink extension, while installed, continuously unchecks itself. I have to keep going into Safari settings and re-enable it.

This is also my experience. For some reason the Reeder extension now seems to be usable. (Maybe it is because I downloaded News Explorer as an alternatiive RSS-reader and Reeder is now scared to be replaced

Same problem here on Tahoe 26.1. When I launch DEVONthink 4.1, the clipping extension briefly appears in the Safari Extensions tab sidebar, then disappears. The extension disappears about the time the DEVONthink splash screen disappears. Other Safari extensions including 1Password, MarsEdit, and Mona are stable - this only seems to affect DEVONthink. Checking/unchecking âShare across devicesâ seems to make no difference - the extension always disappears after a second or two.
I tried checking the extension during itâs brief appearance, but no luck (and no surprise.) I will try the reinstall path, then maybe the terminal voodoo.
The reinstall path seems to have worked for now.
It is unclear what is causing this untimely and inconsistent eviction but we are looking into it.
