Unzipping and Importing Files into a DT Database

I am pondering the easiest way to unzip files from a .zip file which is in my DT database and then import the unzipped files into the same database.

A thread about this topic from over a decade ago suggests the best way to do this is to export the .zip file, unzip it locally, then import the resultilng files into DT.

Is this still accurate? Is there any way to unzip the files and have them be immediately/directly imported into the DT database?

I’m curious what happens when opening a zip file contained in a DTPO database? The Archive Utility launches and appears to unzip the files, but they do not appear in the database that I can tell.

That is how I would do it.

If it’s an indexed archive, then you could use Data > Open With > Archive Utility to unzip it in the same location.
