I’m curious what happens when opening a zip file contained in a DTPO database? The Archive Utility launches and appears to unzip the files, but they do not appear in the database that I can tell.
That’s correct. The unzipped file has not been imported and indexed. It should be saved to the Finder and captured into the database. So it’s best to export the zipped file to the Finder, unzip it and then Import or Index the unzipped file(s) to a database.
Thanks Bill. After experimenting a little further, I have found that the files do get unzipped and they are saved in the same Finder folder in the database as the original zip file. A ‘Show in Finder’ on the original zip does reveal the expanded documents, however they are not (As you mentioned) imported into the database.
