Hi everyone, will DEVONthink To Go be updated to version 4.0 soon? I’m hesitating whether to purchase DEVONthink To Go 3 at this point.
Well, let’s say as soon as possible after the final release of DEVONthink 4 but that’s not necessarily soon. But we’re working on it…

I am in the same boat. I’m new around here and want to buy into the whole suite of products.

Since these are versioned it is a shame for me to buy the old versions of To Go and Agent so late into the product cycle.
I wish there was a subscription model like Omnifocus has that you pay every year and get access to everything available at whatever current version.

Then you’ll be happy to learn that DEVONthink To Go is available both as a one-off payment for a major version (3, in this case) or subscription based (monthly/yearly).
And the major/minor version model of DEVONthink for the Mac has just ended with version 3 and will be replaced by something significantly better than a subscription: You pay for one year of updates, but, unlike a subscription, you can use the last version you got with full functionality as long as you want, even if you decide at one point not to pay for another year.

Where can I find info on how DTTG v3 will work if I upgrade the desktop to DV v4? Thanks.
DEVONthink To Go 3 will sync fine with DEVONthink 4 even though it does not support some of the new features. DEVONthink To Go 4 will, of course, when it hits the streets.
