Import Email Conversations not working -> imports only received messages

Hello,

at first, i already tried this:

To ensure things are installed and enabled properly, do this…

1. Quit Mail.
2. Quit DEVONthink 3.
3. Enable Full disk access in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy for DEVONthink 3
4. In the Finder, hold the Option key and choose Go > Library .
5. Go into the Mail/Bundles folder and delete the DEVONthink.mailbundle .
6. Relaunch DEVONthink 3 and install the Mail plugin from DEVONthink 3 > Install Add-Ons .
7. Relaunch Mail and enable the plugin via Apple Mail’s Preferences > General > Manage Plug-ins .

So, i am working with macOS 10.15.6 an DTPro 3.5.2 and cannot import complete Email Conversations.
It only imports the received message.
Importing in DT Settings is enabled:

The Plugin in AppleMail is active:

I tried to import from Apple Mail via “Add to DEVONtink 3”; both ways “Message” and “Mailbox”.
Also the import started in DT (Import sidebar) only imports the received message.

How can I fix this?

Have you tried archiving the Sent mailboxes independently?

PS: You really can’t “fix” email threading. Conversations and threading are not infallible mechanisms (and in fact are hindered by a lack of standards and hodge-podge of implementations over the years).

I wonder what the “normal” way is, to get Conversations imported.

What worked now:
I moved the received and the sent messages manually in a new mailbox;
so all messages belonging to a conversation are located in the same “folder”…
then I can import the whole mailbox, keeping the conversation in DT

but that’s not really fast and easy …
