Incoming scans from Brother iPrint&Scan are NOT automatically being OCR'd

Setting in DT3 is as it should be – switching off and on again does not help:
Bildschirmfoto 2019-10-06 um 00.11.18.pdf (491.1 KB)
Settings in Brother iPrint&Scan:
Bildschirmfoto 2019-10-06 um 01.41.58.pdf (79.8 KB)
Result is:
Bildschirmfoto 2019-10-06 um 01.32.18.pdf (242.8 KB)

Thank you for help.

Is Full Disk Access enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy?

Yes.

Are you saving to the the Global Inbox?
Files added that way will not be automatically OCR’d.

You can use File > Import > Images (with OCR) or create a smart rule with an On Import event trigger.

I’m saving to the global inbox as I did before with DT 2.9.x and a Scansnap scanner. Nevertheless then incoming scans were automatically OCR’d but not now. When I change import preferences to “Select Group” the incoming scan asks for a group but nevertheless it will not be OCR’d.

Please elaborate what you mean by

For me, after installing DT3.0, the OCR software was not installed.

This triggered an install of ABBYY Finereader. Now all is good

Hope this help
